Holly Yager, Registered clinical Counsellor

Holly Yager is a reproductive health & fertility counsellor in Vancouver with over 15 years of experience. Holly's primary focus is to support individuals and couples who are pursuing assisted conception (IVF, IUI) and third-party reproduction (donation, surrogacy) due to infertility, LGBTQ+ family-building, and single parenting. She provides therapy and support to men and women who are undergoing fertility/medical treatment, trying to conceive naturally, and deciding on fertility/parenting/pregnancy options. Holly also provides therapy and support for miscarriage, perinatal mood & anxiety concerns, and women's chronic pelvic pain.


In addition to private practice, Holly has been a clinical counsellor at BC Women's Hospital + Health Centre since 2004, where she has worked in the areas of reproductive endocrinology & infertility (REI/IVF), chronic pelvic pain & endometriosis (CPP); recurrent pregnancy loss & early pregnancy loss (RPL/EPAC); reproductive & sexual health; and birthing options. Holly was the in-house counsellor at the BC Women's Centre for Reproductive Health's Fertility (UBC IVF) clinic, was a reproductive & sexual health counsellor at several local women's clinics, and completed a counselling internship at the BC Reproductive Mental Health program.

Holly is both a BC Registered Clinical Counsellor and a Canadian Certified Counsellor. In addition to providing therapy, Holly facilitates group workshops, presents lectures to professionals, provides clinical supervision and consultation to mental health professionals, and has co-authored journal articles and publications on both fertility and pelvic pain.

Holly works from a person-centered perspective where clients are the experts on their own lives, and where an open collaboration between client and counsellor is key. Holly is known for her professional, yet open and relaxed approach that allows clients to feel at ease. Holly uses a variety of evidence-based psychotherapies and techniques, including:
